ABSTRACT
Entrepreneurship is said to contribute to a country’s development by generating employment, contributing to the GDP, and improving living standards. This is especially true for female entrepreneurs, who face significant challenges in training due to issues such as financing and gender disparity. This study examined and analysed the challenges of entrepreneurship training from a gender perspective among undergraduate students at the Pedagogical and Technological University of Colombia in Sogamoso. The study used an exploratory and descriptive approach and surveyed 64 women and 39 men. The main findings did not show significant differences between women and men. However, they clarified the limitations that entrepreneurs perceive, as well as the actions that the university must undertake in terms of training, support, and a favorable climate. For example, the findings validated the creation of an entrepreneurship degree program.
